so every year the 4th grade does a veteran's program. the first one i went to was the year jacob was in 4th grade. this year was emmett's turn. that program makes me cry. it is very well done. you are all invited for when olivia is in the 4th grade. bring tissues. yesterday emmett wrote a song. it is called "bet on it" and i read it. i asked him if he was sad when he wrote it he said "na", so then i asked what he was thinking about when he wrote it. he said "nothing". but i think it was a sad little song.
last night after wrestling practice the boys had young mens. i was greeted after practice with more boys in my kitchen than i have normally. they brought home three friends. i love wrestling season. they all tell their practice stories and woos, then they talk about loosing weight and in the same sentence ask me what they can eat. last night was particularly funny. one of them says, "did i see you cooking something?" I said, "yup i just put in some chicken nuggets" and then he says, "ohh can i please have some?" of course i invited all of them to eat and they did except for 2 (one being mine) cause they are sucking weight. keep in mind i had just met my new guest. it is amazing that they are not at all shy about asking for food. i don't mind and of course i put enough chicken nuggets in the oven to feed a small army. the evening got away from me as i didn't intend on making such a casual dinner. oh well. then they all went to young mens. they did comment how they love coming here (except the one, they had been here before), cause i always have food! oh man! the pressure! one day paden brought 5 of his buddies. he called me at 9 pm and asked if he and a couple friends could come eat. they were decorating the homecoming float and were suppose to be home at 10:30. i said sure. he brought in 5 of them! in my career as a little girl i spent all of my time daydreaming of what it would be like to live with my cousins walt and matt. i was sure it would have been better than living with all my sisters! no offense girls! well now my daughter is living that life. i hope she won't be boy crazy. i will help her to see the light early on!
so last night at scouts wyatt made a dinner triangle to ring at dinner time. he is quite proud of it. he brought home a can of spray paint to finish it off. i complimented him on his handy work and promptly confiscated the spray paint! use your imagination if you can't figure out why. wall art would be the last of my concerns! anyway, this morning he walked around the basement (by himself) ringing this triangle saying "bring out your dead! bring out your dead!" ohh it was soooo funny. I know you will get a huge kick out of that devin! well i have bathwater waiting and work, district jr. high wrestling, etc. can't wait for the wrestling part. anyway, you all have a great day K!
